Final Project: Eagle Hunter

Designer

Alana Acosta

Location

Los Angeles, USA

Year

2019

This was the last major school project I did at school. This project was given to the class as Ruth Carter was chosen for the Career Achievement Award of the 21st CDGA. To honor her and her achievements we were to gain inspiration from her award winning film, Black Panther. After researching our chosen tribes we were tasked to create what their version of Wakanda would be using our Research.

The tribe that I chose was the Kazakh Tribe, specifically their Mongolian region. Who while had many strengths like herding and textiles, they are mainly known for their Falconry. To this day they still celebrate Eagle Hunting.

In the world that I fabricated there are genetically modified to be able to ride into battle. The eagles were seen as lifetime companions and often aged with their riders to build a bond like no other. The role of my character was a scout and warrior.

The character located in the back is one of the Eagle Caretakers, similar to a stable boy.
